Fjorelo Buzi holds a B.Sc degree in Chemistry and Chemical Technologies (2014-2017) and a M.Sc degree in Chemical Sciences with focus on Solid State Chemistry Applied to Materials and Energy (2017-2020) from the University of Genoa (Italy). For his Master Thesis he had the opportunity to work at the Department of Chemistry and the Catalysis Research Center of the Technical University of Munich (Germany) thanks to an Erasmus+ Traineeship Scholarship (2018-2019) on a project involving material study of novel Zintl phases and preparation of thin films based on these phases as new anode materials with mesoporous inverse opal structure for Li-ion batteries. Thanks to this experience and to his background he developed a keen interest in the investigation of materials for applications in the renewable energy field.
He joined the IREC group (Barcelona, Spain) as a PhD researcher in early 2021. His thesis focuses on the European EpiStore Project based on the fabrication of Thin Film Reversible Solid Oxide Cells for Ultracompact Electrical Energy Storage.
