Olha Skurikhina obtained her MSc. from National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” specializing in adsorbents and membranes for various applications. She completed her PhD at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where her research focused on the synthesis of inorganic oxides for Li-ion and Na-ion batteries using mechanochemistry. During a year-long scientific stay at the Technical University of Graz, she conducted a study on the electrochemical properties of pyroxene systems and their performance in batteries. Additionally, she undertook a brief research visit at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) to conduct XRD-operando experiments on Li-ion coin cells.
As of May 2023, Olha has joined IREC as a postdoc researcher and she will focus her efforts on the 3D-ASSET project, which involves research on all-solid-state batteries.
