Beatrice obtained her BS and MSc degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome La Sapienza. During her BS internship, she studied the role of additive in an electrolytic solutions for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), while in the MSc she developed a sustainable mechanochemical synthesis of zinc ferrite as an anode material for LIBs at ENEA laboratories. In 2020 she won a 6-month-scholarship at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genoa, where she worked on colloidal synthesis of InAs crystals for IR applications. Afterwards, she worked for two years in a start-up company as a scientific researcher and her topic was the optimization of graphene-silicon-based anode. She also participated in the development of a reference electrode for LIBs (patent deposited in 2023). In the meantime, she attends a 2-year-post-graduate School of Specialization in assessment and Management of Chemical Risk, discussing a thesis about graphene toxicity investigation and guideline for its chemical risk evaluation. In January 2023 she started her PhD at IREC with a project regarding the development of in-operando–techniques for thin film electrodes for all–solid–state batteries (ASSB).
